Searing Steaks on Weber Searwood Wood Pellet Grills

“With Searwood, you can grill a quick meal on a busy weeknight and then have a fun low-and-slow cook over the weekend, all with one grill. While developing Searwood, my home became a gathering spot because everyone knows the food off that grill is always amazing. Try a Thanksgiving turkey on a Searwood rotisserie—it’s incredible!”

Full temperature range from 180° to 600°F, lets you smoke, sear, and roast on the same grill.

Make Food That Looks Great And Tastes Better

DirectFlame™ cooking creates flavorful searing, browning, and crisping. With no large sheet diffuser blocking the flame, food looks as good as it tastes with deep sear marks, golden browning, and crispy bark.

Sear on Every Inch

Full grate sear zone heats evenly and makes the most of every inch of the grill, so you get more food on the flame.

Get To Temp And Stay There

Rapid React™ PID heats grill to set temperature in 15 minutes or less*, ensures the temperature recovers quickly after the lid is opened, and maintains consistent temperature in cold weather. *Based on lab conditions of 77°F ambient temperature with premium hardwood pellet fuel.

Boost The Smoky Flavor

SmokeBoost™ setting maintains temperature at 180°F, optimizing smoke absorption into the food and intensifying flavor.

Cook With The Lid Open

Manual mode provides steady fuel and fan speed for constant heat while griddling or anytime you want to keep the lid open during a cook.

ROAST TO PERFECTION

Finally, a rotisserie for a pellet grill. Cook multiple chickens at once as well as large cuts of meat over the heat on the heavy-duty rotisserie to crisp and brown evenly while locking in juices.

Frequently Asked Questions

A pellet grill burns wood pellets to cook and add smoky flavor to your food. A controlled fan circulates heat in the cookbox for even heat distribution.

The fuel for pellet grills are wood pellets. They are typically sold in 20 lbs bags, which can be poured into a hopper. From there, an auger transports fuel to the burnpot within the cookbox.

Weber pellet grills are incredibly versatile. They can smoke, roast, and sear. Weber pellet grills reach up to 600°F, which is excellent for searing. Pellet grills add delicious smoky flavor to your food and are great at maintaining temperatures for a long duration. They are also incredibly convenient, as you can control and monitor your cook remotely, which makes them ideal for low and slow cooking.

You will need an outlet (120V) and outdoor space. We recommend setting the grill at least 2 feet away from any walls or structures.

Yes. With the Weber Connect app, Weber pellet grills can be controlled and monitored at your convenience away from the grill.

Can I start my Weber pellet grill remotely?

No. For your safety, you must start the grill at the grill. After ignition, you may remotely control your grill from the Weber Connect app.

  1. An electrical outlet required for a pellet grill
  2. Weber pellet grills don’t require WiFi, but for optimal performance it is best to connect to WiFi so the grill can operate on the latest software and firmware.

You can cook almost anything on a pellet grill: from smoked briskets, pork shoulders, ribs, and fish to roasted chicken and seared steaks. You can also bake and cook desserts like apple pies or peach cobblers. Pellet grills are great for pretty much any type of food.

Yes. There are many great pellet grill recipes available on the Weber Connect app.

Searwood™ 600 Pellet Grill is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 182.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very much worth owning! Having own 2 other smokers BFG and a Memphis grill the Weber Searwood 600 checks all the boxes including rotisserie option that most other smokers do not offer! Cooked two pork butts on it Fourth of July and they came out amazing. Kept Great temp. Through the whole 14 hour cook, and it was very conservative with pellets. Used roughly 5 pounds. Great pricing,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Last minute purchase for grad party I had my daughters HS grad party coming up and wanted to do something different, after hosting 2 other grad parties. With no previous experience using a smoker, purchased this Searwood on a whim, and could not be happier. Cooked two bone in pork butts for 15 hours, spritzing with pineapple juice. Everyone raved about the meat. It was outstanding. I have now smoked turkey breast, and whole chicken. Both great. The Weber Searwood is built better than its competition, and it's 2nd generation of smokers, working out the kinks in previous model. The app is easy to use. Well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than my Traeger - Incredible for everything I had a Traeger Tailgater that was out of warranty - I loved that old thing and it was pretty insane what you could do with such a small form factor, but after some ignition issues I could never seem to get a handle on with support, I ended up shopping for a new grill. That was my frame of reference prior to getting the Searwood. The Tailgater struggled to get to 450F, so this was a major upgrade in capability range for me. At unboxing I was immediately blown away by the build quality, which was not only superior to my tailgater, but also a marked improvement in quality over higher-end Traeger models I've experienced with relatives (Ironwood and Pro Series, I think). Aside from being overall more solid, features like the grease management system, the racks, the hopper, and the display are all incredibly thoughtfully designed to make every cook go just that much smoother. In terms of the cooking experience, I have some major takeaways: 1) More consistent results - I would probably chalk this up to the build quality leading to better consistency in temperature 2) Faster start up - especially impressive given it's a much bigger area than my old grill 3) Flavor - I get the same juiciness as the Traeger, but the flavors are much closer to what you'd expect from a full-fledged offset smoker 4) Specific case, but I have been particularly pleased with smoking whole chickens. The skin ends up much crispier and I don't find I'm sacrificing juiciness (if anything it's even juicier) - Pics of a chicken which turned out CRAZY good below. 5) The Sear - Kind of an obvious one, but OH MAN it is still mind boggling to me that I can smoke a flank steak low and slow for a couple hours, then put a blistering sear on it. Absolutely insane range in capability! I find myself making excuses to fire it up way more often. I even did some breakfast sausage and eggs on there the other day and while it's a bit of a delay relative to doing it on the stovetop, I still found this worthwhile (full disclosure, I did not spring for the fancy griddle accessory - I just threw a skillet on there). I have had the grill for about a month, and truthfully, haven't picked up any weaknesses, though one buyer-be-warned comparison I would draw relative to the Traeger is I find it creates a smokier environment (even at low temps) which cause my eyes to water up more. You smell like a campfire when you're done, which in my opinion is both a pro and a con :) Overall, could not be more happy with my purchase.
