Well the first time I used it I set my hot starter chimney on it and it melted right through the mat...one big cut out circle. What good is a mat that can't handle the heat? I have had a mat for years that was looking shabby, but that thing NEVER reacted to my hot chimney. Pretty disappointing from Weber.
