09 Naan Bread
  • 1 teaspoonAbreviation Sugar
  • ¼ teaspoonAbreviation Salt
  • 1½ teaspoonAbreviation Baking powder
  • 80 millilitersAbreviation Water
  • 200 gramsAbreviation Refined flour
  • 1 tablespoonAbreviation Vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoonAbreviation Plain yogurt

For the Garnish:

  • 10 pcs. Coriander leaves
  • 30 gramsAbreviation Butter
  • 3 Cloves Garlic

Instructions

    In the kitchen:

  • Combine the dry ingredients, then slowly mix in the oil and yogurt until you have a dough like consistency.
  • Knead the dough for 5 minutes, add some tepid water if mix is too dry.
  • Divide dough into four, place on a floured surface. With a rolling pin, roll long oval shapes 5mm thick.
  • Chop coriander leaves and garlic, then mix together with melted butter and set aside for the garnish.
  • At the barbecue:

  • Preheat grill to 200°C for 15 minutes with the lid down.
  • Place the rolled out oval shapes over direct heat, cook with the lid down for 2 minutes on each side.
  • Brush the cooked Naan bread with garlic-coriander butter.
