Satisfy your sweet tooth with this delicious dessert recipe for Marzipan Baked Apple.
In the kitchen:
Mix the sultanas and rum in a Weber Drip Tray and let them soak for at least 10 minutes.
Cut off the bottom of the apples so that they stand level.
Then cut off top of apples and take the inside out, taking care not to make holes in the bottom.
Cut marzipan into small pieces.
At the barbecue:
Prepare the barbecue for indirect heat, approx. 180°C.
Melt the butter in a Weber Drip Tray over direct heat and add oats and sugar.
Stir from time to time until everything is caramelized.
Once ready add the marzipan pieces, pour in the cream and add the sultanas.
Stir so all combined then spoon the filling into the prepared apples and place apples on the Weber Original Grill Basket.
Bake on indirect heat for about 30 minutes.
