Roast Roots with a Sesame Honey Glaze

  • 1 parsnip
  • 1 small beetroot
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 carrots
  • ¼ celeriac
  • 3 tbsp sesame seed
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 15g fresh thyme
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

These roast root vegetables with a gorgeous barbecue flavour make a delicious side dish for Christmas dinner.

Method:
  • Peel all the veg and chop into thin sticks no more than 4 inches long. With the onions peel the papery skin off and cut into eighths lengthways.
  • Place all veg in a mixing bowl and add the sesame seeds, honey, thyme, olive oil, salt and pepper.
  • Combine all ingredients,  so the honey is mixed in well with the rest of the vegetables.
  • Add to the Deluxe Grilling Basket and roast indirect for 40 minutes.

    In the kitchen:
