This delicious drink is perfect for cold nights in!
Method:
Pour your cider into a large pan and add in the grated root ginger, lemon slices, cinnamon sticks, star anise and vanilla.
Simmer on a low heat for around half an hour.
Strain the liquid to remove the spices and lemon.
Pour 50ml each of Bourbon into four heat proof glasses, then top up with the hot cider mixture.
Garnish with apple slices and a cinnamon stick before serving.
