At Weber® Australia, we respect the information you share with us about yourself, your Weber® barbecue, and your experiences with our products. It is Weber® Australia’s policy not to sell, trade, or distribute your information to any other company or organisation without your permission. However, we and our related companies may make use of information shared with us for our own marketing purposes. The following access points in the use of the Discover Weber App apply to the use and interaction of the App.
1. Camera Access – The device camera is used by ARKit (on Apple devices) and ARCore (on Android devices) to track the real world environment for Augmented Reality (AR). The App does not record video or screenshots of the camera feed. It is solely used for AR Tracking features.
2. Storage Access – The App require storage access permission on devices to store user preferences (such as the preferred Barbecue). This data is encrypted on device memory.
3. Firebase Analytics – The App will record user input such as taps, swipes on AR menu elements and barbecues. The App will also store users preferred barbecue determined by the user personalisation wizard. The App does not record any personal device information. All analytics data are strictly anonymous.
4. Internet Access – Discover Weber requires Internet access to run certain features such as the Weber Wall.
