Jason is known for his green thumb as he oversees the garden at Weber Headquarters . Jason grew up on a small, sustainable farm, which sparked his passion for agriculture. As owner & operator of Retro Farm in south Georgia, the farm provides seasonal crops for local grocery stores & farmers markets.
Jason shares his passion for learning and teaching through his facilitation of BBQ classes, educating consumers on the use and maintenance of their grills and helping them gain the confidence to become a backyard hero. Jason spent 2 years on the Weber Mobile Grill Academy Tour where he conducted product training for various retailers, as well as grilling classes where he educated, entertained and inspired consumers on all things grilling.
Through his travels across North and Central America as well as Europe, Canada, and Mexico, Jason has been privileged to collaborate with and learn from many experienced Chefs and Pit Masters. He has gained invaluable tricks of the trade from many distillers, winemakers and farmers and incorporates those techniques within his grilling style and infuses those diverse flavors in his recipes.
For the past couple of years, Jason has had the opportunity of working with Weber’s Head Grillmaster, Dustin Green, to develop some mouth-watering recipes and collegial BBQ experiences.
