There are so many occasions when it’s nice to have a “a little something” to snack on—game days, poker nights, cocktail parties and more. These nuts don’t take long to make, and keep well in an airtight container. The combination of sweet and spicy makes them extremely addictive.
  • Prepare the grill for Indirect Medium-Low heat cooking, 350º–400ºF.
    Prepare the grill for Indirect Medium-Low heat cooking, 350º–400ºF, and add two wood chunks to the coals.
    Set the grill to 400°F. Preheat for 15 minutes and brush the grill grates clean.
  • Add two handfuls of the wood chips a smoker box and place in the grill, following manufacturer’s instructions, close the lid.
  • Mix all the ingredients in a medium bowl.
  • Line the roasting basket with butcher or parchment paper. Add the nuts to the paper in an even layer.
  • When the wood begins to smoke, grill the nuts over direct heat until lightly charred, stirring occasionally, 25–30 minutes.
  • Allow the nuts to cool before serving.
