If you’re cooking for a smaller crowd this Thanksgiving, then you must try this Cajun honey butter turkey breast recipe. It cooks in a fraction of the time of a whole turkey and is perfect for smaller gatherings or in addition to a whole turkey. Finished with a sweet, spicy, and savory Cajun style honey butter sauce, this recipe hits on all cylinders.
Preheat your grill to 275°F and setup for indirect cooking. Start the burners on one side of the grill and use the other side for cooking.

Remove the turkey breast from the packaging, pat it dry and remove the skin.
Season the turkey breast with the BBQ and Steak seasonings and let it rest for 15-20 minutes at room temperature.
Place the turkey breast on the indirect heat side of the grill and cook until it reaches an internal temperature of 120°–130°F, approximately 1 ½–2 hours.
Remove the turkey from the grill and place it meat side down on 2 pieces of aluminum foil. Add 4 pieces of butter under the turkey and 4 on top.
Wrap the turkey breast tightly and place it back on the grill, meat side down, and cook until it reaches an internal temperature of 160°F. Remove it from the grill and allow it to rest, wrapped, for 15–20 minutes.
In a separate saucepan, combine all the Cajun honey butter sauce ingredients, bring to a low simmer, and cook for a minute or two.
Slice the turkey breast and serve with the Cajun honey butter sauce.
Recipe Tips
If you can’t find a bone-in turkey breast, you can use a boneless turkey breast roast. The cooking time will reduce by 30-45 minutes.
