You cannot actually control the grill on your phone. To access grill information from your smartphone, download the WEBER CONNECT app and then pair your phone to your grill. WEBER CONNECT app will walk you through this setup.

Upon downloading the WEBER CONNECT app, pair your grill to the app via Bluetooth by following these steps:

1.Turn your WEBER CONNECT display.

2.Open the WEBER CONNECT app and tap “Pair Device”

3.Hold your smartphone near the grill until it is detected by the app

4.Once the grill is found, tap “Pair”

5.Confirm the pairing on the WEBER CONNECT module; a visual is provided in the app for reference


No, you cannot control the grill from your smart phone. You can easily control your grill’s temperature using its precise burner knobs.

All 2022 GENESIS® grills are compatible with the WEBER CRAFTED Outdoor Kitchen Collection by purchasing a WEBER CRAFTED frame kit, if not already equipped. Below is a summary of what you will need depending on your grill model.

For GENESIS® models EPX-335, SPX-435, SX/EX-335, E/S-335 and E/S-435 (that include WEBER CRAFTED cooking grates and frame kit) you need to purchase following. Additional select models may come with the WEBER CRAFTED cooking grates and frame kit. Check with your WEBER retailer.*

- WEBER CRAFTED grillware or GOURMET BBQ SYSTEM grillware

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Grill with one caveat. This is another well designed Weber grill but be aware that the grill will need AC power or a battery to even display the temperature. This was not accurately described in any of the sales literature. I am temporarily running on a USB battery bank until I can have an outlet installed near the grill.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would not buy any other grill My previous Genesis was 12 years old and worked great. I had replaced the burners a couple years back. The good thing is, you can always purchase parts for these grills. I sold it for $200. As far as the operation of the new grill, the temperature, for some reason it is harder to maintain than the old model. I’m forever adjusting the control knobs to keep the temperature where I want it. Be aware that this particular model requires that you plug it in to an electrical outlet if you want to view the temperature both on the grill and with Bluetooth on your phone or tablet. I didn’t realize that before I purchased but was lucky to have an electrical outlet on my porch/deck. This model comes with a temperature probe that works great. You can view the temp of your meat on the grill display and your phone. This grill cooks pizza perfectly so it is a must that you purchase the Weber Pizza Stone designed for this grill. Perfect crust every time. (Market Basket New York Style Dough). I had been cooking pizza on my old grill for 12 years on a pizza stone with great results. The new grill with pizza stone is even better. 4 stars only because of the temperature variation.

We were very hesitant to buy a grill well over $1000 but this came with all the features we wanted and with a 12 year warranty unlike anyone else! The crafted grill section is amazing we bought this with the flat top and it’s so easy and quick to swap out. The side storage is what really helps because it has a space dedicated to these larger accessories that keeps the main part of the grill clear for paper towels, seasonings and more. The I Grill built in is also very nice with a clean look to the grill my only complaint is I wish for the price it came with two probes. Other than that the grill is amazing! The top rack expands out and effectively doubles my cooking space which makes it perfect for doing potatoes and other items that take longer to cook through out. Saves me from having to use the oven to finish off steaks after I give them a perfect sear! All and all a great grill and we are very happy to have made this purchase!
