When grilling corn I like to pull the husk back about 3/4 of the way and pull the silk.  Easy tip for pulling the silk is use a rubber band on the corn.  The friction pulls the small pieces of silk off and cleans it all off perfectly.

I also like to soak my corn for 2-3 hours in ice cold water with a couple tablespoons of sugar. This adds some moisture back into the corn which gives you top notch results.   I then grill the corn with the husk on over indirect medium heat for 35-40 minutes.
