Grilled Piri Piri Prawns
  • Completed step 300g king prawns
  • Completed step 1 tbsp rub
  • Completed step 2 tbsp gremolata

Piri-Piri Rub

  • Completed step 1 tsp salt
  • Completed step 2 tsp brown sugar
  • Completed step 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Completed step 1 tsp crushed chili
  • Completed step 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • Completed step 2 tsp garlic powder
  • Completed step 1 tsp ground cumin
  • Completed step 3 tsp oregano

Gremolata

  • Completed step 30g fresh parsley
  • Completed step 2 garlic cloves
  • Completed step 2 lemons
  • Completed step 50ml olive oil

  • Basting Brush
  • Tweezers

Instructions

    Piri-Piri Rub

  • Measure all the ingredients and mix thoroughly. Store in an airtight basin.
  • Gremolata

  • Finely chop the parsley, grate the peeled garlic finely.
  • Grate the lemon zest and juice the lemons in a bowl.
  • Add oil and parsley to the bowl. Stir together.
  • Prawn Preparation

  • Clean the prawns. Remove the outer shell, but leaving the tails on.
  • In a bowl mix prawns with the rub and GREMOLATA
  • AT THE GRILL

  • Preheat the grill with the control knob on high or 15-20 mins. Brush the cooking grates clean before use.
  • Place the prawns on direct heat.
  • Sear the prawns for 1-2 mins. Turn the prawns and cook for a further 1-2 mins until cooked through.
  • Remove from the grill allowing them to rest for 1-2 mins.
  • Season before serving.
