We are based in the small town of Wimborne in the picturesque county of Dorset just a stones throw from the stunning beaches of Sandbanks and Bournemouth as well as the stunning countryside along the Historical Jurassic coastline.
We focus on all things live fire cooking and low and slow barbecue with a real focus on using the best ingredients we can source as well as exclusively using High welfare Native & rare breed meats.
We will teach you how to get the very best out of your barbecue and cook with confidence.
The Team
I have been a chef for over 14 years, I was classically trained at Bournemouth catering college and have worked my way up through the kitchen before leaving to start my business Cross Fire Cooking.
We specialise in all things cooking over fire and low & slow smoking, catering for weddings, supper clubs and street food pop ups, private dining and teaching.
I have worked with some of the best in the barbecue game and have learnt a wealth of knowledge which I look forward to including into our classes.
I have spent a large part of my career teaching BBQ to professional chefs and providing consultancy to London restaurants to give confidence to chefs that are unfamiliar with the techniques of cooking with fire.
I have always taken pride in the produce that we cook with, working closely with our suppliers and sourcing exclusively high welfare native and rare breed meats.
Our ethos and the way we cook has led us to be invited to cook at meatopia festival in London, showcasing the way we cook to the masses. I like to use cook lesser-known cuts of meat and utilise as much of the animal as possible by adapting as much of a nose to tail ethos as we can.
I look forward to teaching what I have learnt through our weber academy.
