Swordfish Sandwich

Recipe by Matt Basile

Ingredients

  • 8oz fresh swordfish
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 heirloom tomato
  • 1 jalapeño
  • 1 hoggie roll
  • 1 broad Boston leaf lettuce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • Salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise

Directions

Get your Weber gas grill scorching hot - around 500F. Roast the jalapeño for 8 minutes until tender, remove from the grill and chop the heck out of it until it’s a paste. Finely chop the cilantro and mix it into the mayo with the jalapeño. Then give it a squeeze of lemon.

Oil and salt the fish, then place it on the hot grill. Grill the swordfish on high heat for 3-4 minutes per side then hit it with a splash of lemon. Cut your bun, slather it with jalapeño mayo, add some leafy lettuce and sliced tomatoes. And that’s all you need for a killer grilled fish sandwich.
