After 17 years of grilling with my second Genesis grill, my first one lasted 11 years and I donated it in perfect working order, I would expect something would need to be replaced. It turns out that one of the welds on the wire legs broke and It wouldn't stay in the right place in the grill. I kept the old one and may clean it up and fix it some day, but I like Stephen Weber products and service so well, that I really don't mind paying for a new rack after 17 years. It's almost like a cult following, at least for THIS Weber grill fan. After almost 30 years of reliable, long lasting grills and rare (in this day and age, unfortunately) excellent customer service, the grills and the people I've talked to at Weber over the years, just seem to me as a trusted old friend. There ARE more expensive grills with more bells and whistles, but for rock solid reliability and impeccable customer service, you just can't beat Stephen Weber grills! Oh yeah, and the warming rack works just like a warming rack should. I wish they'd put a check box for owning a grill more than 5 years, more than 10 years, etcetera. Or just provide a text box to enter the year count!
