Rated 5 out of 5 by Craig P. from Out with the old, in with the new. Depending on age and wear, removing the old caster may be the most difficult step and could require a little creativity. I had to lock a pair of vise grips tightly on the old insert and carefully knock it out sideways with a rubber mallet. Then I was able to clean out the channel of rust and grit and a wasp nest. That accomplished, the new insert and caster went in easily. Rolling great again.
