Recipe created by: The Weber Grill Academy - Canada
Serves: 4-6 | Prep time: 35 – 40 minutes | Grilling time: 40 minutes
Ingredients
Dough
- ¼ cup Warm water
- 2 ½ tsp Active yeast
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 3 ½ Cups flour
- ¾ Cup milk, warm
- 1 Egg
- 2 tbsp Butter, melted
- 1 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Vanilla extract
- ½ cup Butter, melted
Coating
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- ½ Cup butter, melted
- 1 1/2 Cups Brown sugar
Instructions
1.    Grease a 9inch tube or bundt pan. Â
2.    In a large bowl combine the warm water, yeast and 1 tsp of granulated sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until bubbly and foamy.
3.    Stir in 1 cup of the flour, 3 tbsp granulated sugar, egg, butter, salt and vanilla extract. Mix well before adding the remaining flour. Mix and knead dough until it comes together in a ball. Cover with plastic wrap or a warm damp towel and let sit in a warm place for 30 minutes.
4.    Turn out dough on a lightly floured surface and punch the dough down gently to deflate. Divide dough into small and medium sized pieces.
5.    Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl. Dip each dough ball in melted butter, remove with a fork, and roll in sugar mixture until well coated. Arrange in the prepared pan. Cover with plastic wrap or a damp cloth and let rise until almost doubled, about 45 minutes.
6.    Prepare the grill for indirect medium high heat. Bake in the preheated grill until golden brown, about 35 minutes. Invert onto a large plate; cool for 10 minutes before serving.
