We have used Webers for 10 years and moved on to gas using a Spirit 300 for the last 6-7 years. We have a courtyard and so unusually for the UK we can barbecue outdoors from April until the end of December. I never seam to have enough room to prepare food and so I have used a variety of picnic tables with varying success. Having purchased a new Weber Spirit 300 the opportunity arose to build a Weber Companion/food preparation area out of the old unit. The conversion took about 2 hours and now I have all the room I need. I wonder if Weber will offer this option. I certainly would have bought one. Professor Michael Saleh
