WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU DO FOR WEBER?

By day I'm a police sergeant. By night I'm a tender of the Weber flame and "Grillographer" of Weber Nation. Earlier this year I shared my "Weber Experience" and why the perfect weekend meal consists of firing up five grills! Creator and stomach behind the grilling and beer blog: Another Pint Please.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WEBER PRODUCT?

My first-generation Weber Performer. It gives me the thrill of charcoal with the speed of gas light. We've shared more meals than I can count, and while it's already 14 years old, I will make sure it lasts another 20. I love it that much.

FAVORITE THING TO GRILL?

A prime-grade bone-in rib eye. One of the most exquisite pieces of meat to ever "meat" my grill. I'm hungry just typing about it.

CHARCOAL OR GAS?

Both. I know there are purists at both ends of the spectrum, but while both have their strengths, both automatically mean dinner outside.  When I've got time, I go for a kettle. When I need immediate results after a long day of work, I'm proud to turn on the gas. Choice is king, and neither have ever let me down.

WHAT'S YOUR BEST GRILLING ADVICE IN ONE SENTENCE?

Cook to temperature, not time.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED WITH GRILLING?

My dad. For as long as I can remember, we always had a grill in the backyard. As an Eagle Scout, I was the guy who brought the three-course grilled meal to the campground. In our family, outdoor cooking has never been a fad, but simply a way of life. A fact shared not only by me and my dad, but also by my two brothers and sister. Whether it is my dad's Webers, or mine, life simply tastes better.

Ham: A Meal to Entertain With

I usually go for a grilled ham when I want a meal to please, but also want to spend time with my guests. Ham is a no fuss cook, which requires little intervention on the grill.

Fine Dining Grilling: Rack of Lamb

Fine Dining Grilling: Rack of Lamb

When it comes to "fine dining" grilling (which, yes, does exist), nothing tops a rack of lamb. While I like leg of lamb, lamb chops, and even ground lamb, nothing tops a rack.

Cedar Plank Grilling

Cedar Plank Grilling

For anyone just starting to think about grilling seafood, look no further than planked salmon. The magic of the grill coupled with the ease of cooking on a cedar plank makes for a fantastic meal.

Grilled Fish: The Whole Truth

Grilled Fish: The Whole Truth

I find some people get freaked out by grilling fish for a number of reasons, but most often because of issues with the flesh sticking to the grill grates.

Spring Cleaning Workout

Spring Cleaning Workout

After a long winter, both dormant and active grills require a little love to keep them fired up through another season.

St. Patrick’s Day Stout Beer Can Chicken

While still technically winter, St. Patrick's Day is my first warm(er) weather grilled holiday meal as it falls only a few short days before the official start of spring. It's a day to celebrate for

Take Your Ribs For A Spin

Take Your Ribs For A Spin

Even though ribs almost always mean tangy sauce, sweet smoke, with low and slow charcoal heat, what if we did the total opposite? No sauce, no smoke, and the spinning rotisserie action of a gas grill

There’s a Cocktail on My Grill: Martini Marinated Filets

It’s not every night I’m armed with two pounds of center cut tenderloin filets, but when I am, I want it to count.

Grilled Steaks: The Reverse Sear

Grilled Steaks: The Reverse Sear

If there is one thing I love to grill more than anything else, it’s a thick bone in ribeye cooked medium rare. For me, there is nothing better. Now while this type of steak may seem straightforward

My Love, The Weber Summit Grill Center

My Love, The Weber Summit Grill Center

Love is a strong word when it comes to a grill, and in the case of my Weber Summit Grill Center, it’s not enough. It transcends love. If my wife hadn’t put her foot down, it would have been included
