Summary
Performs routine preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems directly related to production operations such as automated robotic assembly cells, power presses and other metal forming equipment, automated conveyor systems, etc. Some of the disciplines related to this position are, but not limited to mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, operating controls, PLC abilities, some level of program development, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned
- Troubleshoots problems with machines and equipment by utilizing all means necessary
- Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas
- Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other defects
- Removes and replaces worn or defective parts
- Realigns and adjusts components such as spindles, clutches, belts, chains, etc
- Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair to verify success of repair.
- Repairs/replaces broken parts
- Able to program / teach computer controlled motion of automated equipment such as robots to some degree determined by job assignment
- Assists engineering and production teams as a information resource and or hands on via internal services request
- Provides regular updates to Maintenance Management / Supervision regarding status of projects and assignments

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; with at least three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Trade certificates preferred.
- May be necessary to undergo EPA training as required by specific position or building.
Other Skills and Abilities
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of and proficiency in using full Microsoft Office products, Computerized Maintenance Management System (C.M.M.S) Project, and other internet based software.

The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is required frequently talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and transport up to 30 lbs, and occasionally lift and transport up to 75 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
